Lamelos, the collective of comic artists was founded in 1997 by Aleks Deurloo, Jeroen Funke, Boris Peeters and Sam Peeters. The members of the group, who met at the Kampen Art Academy, gained popularity at ceremonies, festivals and parties, where they wear apple or robot costumes and perform medieval miracle plays or scenes from Star Wars.
Next to that, they draw comic strips. They were the ones to create Kaasheld & Poephoofd (Cheesehero & Poophead), the greatest Dutch duo since the illustrious Tom Poes and Ollie B. Bommel. Altogether four pieces were published from the series, the last one – HELP! – without texts (certainly, not counting the word ”help”). Their work belongs to the top class of Dutch comic strips: it is absurd, free, cheerful and colourful.
In Budapest, exhibiting at kArton Gallery, they would like to show the whole spectrum of their skills and techniques in drawings, paintings, prints and embroidery. Formerly, audiences in Austria and Spain got familiar with their art abundant with imaginary animals and robots.

A Lamelos képregénykollektíva 1997-ben alakult Aleks Deurloo, Jeroen Funke, Boris Peeters és Sam Peeters képregényrajzolók részvételével. A négyes csapat, amelynek tagjai a kampeni művészeti akadémiáról ismerik egymást, nagy népszerűségre tett szert ünnepségeken, fesztiválokon és partikon való megjelenései révén. Almának vagy robotnak öltöznek, a Csillagok Háborúját vagy épp középkori mirákulumot adnak elő.
Emellett képregényeket is rajzolnak. Ők alkották meg Kaasheld & Poephoofd (Sajthőst és Kakifejet), a legnagyobb holland képregény duót az illusztris Tom Poes és Ollie B. Bommel óta. Időközben négy rész jelent meg a sorozatból, az utolsó – a HELP! – pedig szöveg nélkül (persze a „help” szó kivételével). Munkájuk jelenleg a legfrissebb holland képregények közé tartozik: abszurd, szabad, vidám és színes.
Budapesti bemutatkozásuk során – a kArton galériában – munkásságuk teljes spektrumát szeretnék felvonultatni, bemutatva a különböző technikákat rajzban, festményeken, nyomatokon és hímzéseken. Korábban Ausztriában és Spanyolországban ismerkedhetett meg a nagyközönség színpompás munkáikkal, melyeket fantáziaállatok és robotok népesítenek be.
